// THE HONEST M365 COPILOT KIT

Get real results from Copilot, and know when not to trust it.

Most Copilot advice oversells. This kit tells you the truth: the prompts that work, the mistakes that waste your time, and the moments to close Copilot and do it yourself.

Equipping a team? Team is $149 for 5 seats, Org is $499 for 25. One invoice, every seat gets the full kit.

  • 14 reference cards
  • Copilot on One Page cheat sheet
  • 30-minute user guide
  • Two-week practice plan
// THE PROBLEM

You have the licence. You tried it. You quietly went back to doing it by hand.

The first answers were generic, a citation was wrong, and the tool stayed open in a tab you never clicked. That is not your fault. Most guidance is a list of impressive-sounding prompts with no mention of when they fail, so people try once, get a mediocre result, and tune out.

The missing piece was never more prompts. It is knowing which ones actually work, how to ground them in your own files, and how to tell when the answer cannot be trusted.

// THE PROMISE

Genuinely good at Copilot, fast, without the overselling.

You learn one repeatable loop, the handful of prompts that work in each app, and the failure modes to watch for. You get a real win in your first ten minutes, and within two weeks you know exactly when Copilot earns its keep and when it does not.

No magic. Just a clear method and honest guidance from someone who deploys this every day.

// WHAT'S INSIDE

Three things, and every one of them earns its place.

Five durable Foundations cards plus nine app cards. Each gives you when to use it, what to skip it for, the three prompts that work, the three mistakes to avoid, and a one-line “Remember.”

03 A 30-minute user guide

Around 33 pages, built to read in half an hour and put to work the same day.

  • A Start Here 5-minute path and a Fast Start that gets a real win in ten minutes.
  • The mental model, plus one chapter on how to get a good answer every time.
  • A whole "When NOT to use Copilot" chapter, and a section on data, trust, and the EU boundary.
  • A two-week practice plan of ten short drills, and a proficiency self-check.
// SAME LICENCE, DIFFERENT OPERATOR

The gap is not the tool. It is how you use it.

Before, the cold-prompt user

You type “summarise this” into a blank box and hope. The answer is vague, you cannot tell where it came from, and a name or figure is subtly wrong. You spend more time second-guessing it than the task would have taken, so eventually you stop opening it.

After, the grounded-and-verifies user

You point Copilot at the right files, ask with a goal and a format in mind, and read the result against its sources before you use it. You get a usable first draft in minutes, you catch the one line that is off, and you decide what ships. You also know the tasks where you skip Copilot entirely.

// WHY HONEST

Plenty of guides say Copilot can do everything. This one tells you when it cannot.

Every app card has a “skip it for” section and three mistakes to avoid. There is a whole card and a whole guide chapter on when not to use Copilot. That honesty is the point: it is what earns your trust on the parts that do work.

It is also independent. The author has no Microsoft licence to sell you, just a practitioner read on what is worth your time. Microsoft is cited only as a neutral source. The aim is your results, not anyone's product.

// FAQ

Questions

Is this current, and will it stay current?

Yes. It is current as of June 2026 and reflects how Copilot actually works across the M365 apps today. The Org tier includes one free update.

Who is this for, and who is it not for?

It is for anyone with a Microsoft 365 Copilot licence who wants to be good at it quickly: PMs, finance, ops, HR, executive assistants, managers, and consultants. It is not a guide for IT admins deploying Copilot, or for executives evaluating whether to buy it. It is for the people using it day to day.

How do the seats and licences work?

Single is one seat. Team is five seats with a team licence and a certificate. Org is twenty-five seats with rights to share the materials internally and one free update. Pick the tier that matches how many people will use it.

What is your refund policy?

The kit is sold through Gumroad, so Gumroad's refund terms apply at checkout. If it is not useful to you, follow the refund process there.

Are you affiliated with Microsoft?

No. The author is an independent practitioner, not a Microsoft employee, partner, or reseller, who deploys Microsoft 365 Copilot inside a 17,000-person engineering enterprise and maintains open libraries of Copilot prompts and agents used by thousands of practitioners. Microsoft is cited only as a neutral source. Current as of June 2026; not affiliated with Microsoft.
